Pastor Jered and his wife planted Calvary in October 2010. He is the lead Pastor and you can find him doing a number of different things depending upon the day. He is born and raised in CT. He has been married to his wife Julie for 14 years and they have 3 children. His favorite bible verse is Deuteronomy 32:47 "They are not just idle words for you --- they are your life."
Jered loves sports of all kinds, loves to fish, and enjoys being with his family.
Julie is Jered's wife of 13 years. She and a team helped plant the church in 2011. She helps to coordinate and direct the Children's Ministries at CC Naugy. This includes the Nursery, Preschool, Elementary Classes, and other special events throughout the year. Her favorite bible verses are:
Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
Ephesians 3:20 - Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us
2 Corinthians 12:9 - But he said to me " My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
She loves spending time with her 3 sons and husband. She especially loves getting to home-school her children and experience the joy of learning through their eyes. She also enjoys being active and the outdoors.
Robert and his wife have attended CC Naugatuck for over 4 years. Robert currently serves as an Elder. He loves playing guitar, drone racing, and movies. His wife Diane is regularly involved with Martial Arts and she enjoys traveling. They have a son and a daughter.
His favorite bible verse is: John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
Keith and his wife Tammy have been a part of CC Naugy since the beginning as well. He was a part of the planning and praying team before the church launch; and he has been an integral part of the church ever since. He serves as an Elder, leads a fellowship group at his house, and does many other things.
He plays bass guitar, loves to fish, going shooting, and enjoying time with his family.
Nathan has been an integral part of our church family's leadership for the past 4 years. He has been an Elder on our Board of Directors during that time. Nathan is a Worship and Associate Pastor of Christian Life Assembly in Willimantic. Nathan was credentialed in 2014 by CLA, ordained in 2015 with the Assemblies of God International Fellowship and serves on the church board at CLA.
Nathan is married to his beautiful wife Amy. He loves music and enjoys basketball.
Kayla has been a part of CC Naugy since May 2014. "CC Naugy was the first church that really opened my eyes to the gospel. Immediately I felt loved and welcomed and four years later I still feel that way every single time I am around my church family."
Kayla is our Office Manager and she also leads our collaborative outreach ministry in our town called New Beginnings. New Beginnings provides back to school clothes for those who are in need. "It is such a blessing to see God move through a smaller church of people who are willing to step up and step out to reach and love on our community." Kayla also serves in our Deacon ministry, she helps with our Video productions, she also occasionally teaches Sunday school, and she is part of so much that are church family does.
"The ENTIRE bible is AMAZING, so it's hard to pick just one; but if I was to choose one for the season I am in right now I would say Hosea 6:6. "I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings" Although this is in the Old Testament and speaking to a specific group of people in that time this verse really shows the heart of God. We don't have to work towards acceptance, approval or gaining God's love. All we have to do is accept him into our hearts and get to know him. Relationship with him is the most important thing to him. That really opened my eyes because I am doer, I work hard, but that isn't the most important thing God cares about. His gift of life, love and relationship is sitting at our feet, we just need to pick it up and enjoy him."
Kayla loves to just hang with friends/family and enjoy a worship/prayer night. She also really enjoys cooking, being part of outdoor activities and photography. Her favorite thing to do is just spend time with friends, family and God.
